We are 3rd generation farmers here at Pentre Farm.

A traditional Welsh upland family farm nestled in the heart of Montgomerishire near to Lake Vyrnwy.

Sheep and beef production has always been the core of our business and in recent years diversified into producing commercially reared breeding stock.

Natural expansion to accomodate future generations has seen the business expand to over double its original size in the last 5 years.

A change in system has also seen us move to outdoor lambing and focus on producing stock reared on forage alone.

Farming in one of the wettest areas of Wales, we have the ability, when the weather is on our side, to grow quality grass. Our emphasis now is ensuring we utilise this grass to its full potential during the crucial summer months. With the help of rotational grazing, ever improving genetics & increasing utilisation we are reducing the days on farm of finishing stock, and improving the weight and condition of breeding stock entering the winter.
